There is little available information regarding this tree and it’s fruit, but it does come with a reputation as a fruit of excellent quality, similar in size to a large hen’s egg.
Native to north Peru.

The tree prefers the soil to become dry between waterings.
The soil PH needed for Plinia clausa is moderately acidic to slightly acidic (5.6.-6.5).
