Ubajai

Ubajai
Eugenia myrcianthes
Myrtaceae family

The Ubajai blooms in early spring - the flowers are typical of Myrtaceae.  About two months later it produces fruits, producing a yellow colour fruit of up to 5cm diameter.

The orange pulp of the fruit is edible, with a very juicy, slightly tart aftertaste when fully ripe (when fully ripe, the fruits have a bad smell).
The taste is similar to peach.

Native to Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay.
